ERKLÄRUNG - EXPLANATION

*       Optometrist - Da der Beruf des Optometristen weltweit unterschiedlich strukturiert ist und über unterschiedliche Befugnisse verfügt, verwenden wir an dieser Stelle die internationale Bezeichnung „Optometrist“ stellvertretend für die höchste Qualifikation im Beruf der Optometrie in dem Land in dem sie von der aufgeführten Person ausgeübt wird. 

**     FO der BOAF- Die Berufsbezeichnung Funktionaloptometrist (FO) ist nicht gesetzlich geschützt und von daher aus sich alleine kein Qualitätsmerkmal. Aus diesem Grund haben wir, die BOAF, die Ausbildungsinhalte zum FO definiert, siehe Broschüre - deineausbildung. Der Titel „FO der BOAF“ setzte zwingend den Abschluss des Optometristen(siehe oben) voraus und kann auf drei unterschiedlichen Wegen erlangt werden. 

a)     Durch die erfolgreiche Ablegung der Prüfung zum FO der BOAF vor der Prüfungskommission der BOAF.

b)    Der Nachweis über das Bestehen einer vergleichbaren Prüfung in FO. Hier muss belegt werden, das sowohl der Inhalt der Ausbildung wie auch die Prüfung unserer Definition der FO-Ausbildung entspricht, siehe Broschüre - deineausbildung.

c)     Durch den Nachweis einer absolvierten Ausbildung, die der Ausbildung nach unserer Definition, siehe Broschüre - deineausbildung, entspricht unddem Nachweis einer mindestens 5 jährigen Tätigkeit in der Funktionaloptometrie, siehe unsere Broschüre - Prüfungsbroschüre deineausbildung.

Die Anerkennung zum FO der BOAFsteht jedem Funktionaloptometristen offen, eine Mitgliedschaft in der BOAF ist nichterforderlich.

***   FBOAF - Die Bezeichnung Fellow stammt aus dem anglikanischen Sprachraum und wird im universitären Bereich und in Berufsorganisationen verwendet. In Berufsorganisationen wird eine Person als Fellow bezeichnet, die nach ihrem akademischen Abschluss verantwortlich in Forschung, Lehre und Betreuung Studierender tätig ist. Der Titel „Fellow der BOAF“ setzt zwingend den Abschluss des Optometristen und des FO der BOAFvoraus. Liegen die Voraussetzungen vor, kann der Titel Fellow durch das Durchlaufen eines Fellowships erworben werden oder bei besonderen Verdiensten ehrenhalber verliehen werden. 

Der Titel Fellow muss immer in Verbindung mit dem Namen der ihn verleihenden Organisation geführt werden = FBOAF (Fellow der Behavioral Optometry Academy Foundation)

* Optometrist - As the profession of optometrist is structured differently worldwide and has different powers, we use the international term "optometrist" for the highest qualification in the profession of optometry in the country in which it is exercised by the listed person.


** FO of the BOAF - The job title Funktionaloptometrist (FO) is not legally protected and therefore by itself not a quality feature. For this reason, we, the BOAF, have defined the training contents for the FO, see brochure - your education. The title "FO of the BOAF" required the completion of the optometrist (see above) and can be obtained in three different ways.


a) By successfully passing the examination for the FO of the BOAF before the examining board of the BOAF.

b) Evidence of the existence of a comparable examination in FO. Here it must be proven that both the content of the training as well as the examination of our definition of the FO training corresponds, see brochure - your education.

c) By proof of a completed training, which corresponds to the training according to our definition, see brochure - your education, and the proof of at least 5 years of activity in the functional optometry, see our brochure - examination brochure your education.


The recognition for the FO of the BOAF is open to any functional optometrist, a membership in the BOAF is not required.

*** FBOAF - The term Fellow comes from the Anglican-speaking world and is used in the university sector and in professional organizations. In professional organizations, a person is referred to as a fellow who, after completing his academic degree, is responsible for the research, teaching and supervision of students. The title "Fellow of the BOAF" requires the completion of the Optometrist and the FO of the BOAF. If the prerequisites are met, the title Fellow can be obtained by completing a fellowship or, in the case of special merit, awarded honorary.

 

The title Fellow must always be in conjunction with the name of the lending organization = FBOAF (Fellow of the Behavioral Optometry Academy Foundation)
